The City of Oberlin is dedicated to delivering safe water to residents and businesses.
The City of Oberlin water supply consists of 8 wells, which were installed in 2014, and pump water from the Ogallala Aquifer.
Oberlin’s well system consists of eight wells, a 150,000-gallon ground storage facility, a 500,000-gallon water tower, and a distribution system with pressure valves and chemical balance systems to meet the need for safe and reliable water.
Oberlin water projects:
- 2014 - 8 well system to deliver safe water to residents and businesses
- 2019 – Replacement of numerous residential and business water meters to improve billing accuracy and water resource control
- 2020 – one mile of aged water main replacement
- 2021 – planned project for an additional water main replacement
